Cid, the next day

He’s still here. He looks and seems to feel better.

Last night I found Cid profoundly asleep, so deeply that I feared for a moment he’d died while I was out. It turned out the lungs were indeed operational; and then when someone came by the house walking another dog (heavens!), Cid dove off the bed barking his head off. It appears he was rebuilding his strength via some really deep and needed sleep. He’s still having internal issues but his spirits are good and he doesn’t seem sick…except for when he gets one of us out of bed at some godawful hour of the morning to take him into the yard because he’s got to go now. That leaves the humans totally out of synch.

Thank God for small things and things that weigh 100 pounds.
